How long does a sand-and-refinish take?
A typical single-family home (1,000–1,500 sq ft of hardwood) takes us about 3–4 days on site: one day to sand, one to stain, two for finish coats with dry time. You can walk on it in socks after 24 hours and put furniture back after about a week.
Is it really dustless?
It's dust-contained — which is the honest answer. We run HEPA vacuums tethered directly to the drum and edger sanders, which captures the vast majority of the dust. We also seal off adjoining rooms. You'll see a small amount of fine dust at most, not the clouds old-school refinishing was known for.
Can my old floors be refinished, or do I need to replace?
Solid hardwood can usually be refinished 4–6 times in its lifetime. We'll come out, measure the remaining wear layer, look for cupping or board damage, and tell you honestly whether refinishing or replacement makes more sense.
Do you install engineered hardwood?
Yes. We install both solid and engineered hardwood, including wide-plank European oak, prefinished domestic, and glue-down over slab for basements or condo installs.
